Dixon’s Apple Orchard’s Coveted Champagne Apple Finally Harvested – As Seen on Kare 11

The Champagne apple has a long history dating back to Owner Becky Mullane’s grandfather Fred Dixon, who found the apple from a wild tree in a New Mexican canyon.

No one has enjoyed Champagne apples since the 2011 wildfire destroyed the orchard.

Friday, October 4ththat all changed when Dixon’s Apple Orchard opened in its new location in Cadott, WI.

First Taste of the Champagne Apple – As Seen on WEAU

Opening Day for World-Exclusive Champagne Apple at Dixon’s Apple Orchard

Come witness history being made right here in the Chippewa Valley! Dixon’s Apple Orchard’s unique and patented Champagne apple will be ready for the public to taste on Friday, October 4, opening at 9:00 a.m.

“After an eight-year wait, we finally have some first crop Champagne apples to share for however long they last,” states owner Becky Mullane. She also adds, “The Champagne apple is a spicy-sweet; something extra special!”
