Apple Palooza returned to Duluth for a 3rd year in 2024.
Becky Mullane, owner of Dixon’s Apple Orchard, is celebrating her Duluth heritage by
hosting Duluth’s third annual Apple Palooza on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, at
Beaver River Farm in Duluth.
The Apple Palooza event will feature a craft fair with around 70 local vendors, live music, wagon rides,
pony rides, food trucks, Dixon’s patented Champagne apples, Dixon’s apple cider, and several other
varieties of apples at unbeatable prices.
The event has been such a big and growing hit in the area and features something for everyone. Most of
all, it’s the perfect kick-off to fall for residents and visitors of Duluth. The event is free to attend.
Mullane was born and raised in Duluth, MN, just 1 mile away from Beaver River Farm where the Apple
Palooza event will be held. Mullane originally moved to New Mexico after graduating high school to help
with her grandparent’s orchard. She soaked in the many lessons and experiences of her grandfather and
eventually took over the family orchard. A series of natural disasters forced her family to uproot to
Wisconsin to relocate the orchard in 2012.
The family orchard has gained quite the following over the years, specifically surrounding their patented
Champagne Apple. The Champagne apple, grown only by the Mullane family, has become a favorite
amongst people nationwide!
“Duluth has always been such a special place to our family, and we’ve found that the people of Duluth
love apples, cider, and fun just as much as we do,” exclaimed Mullane.
The event is perfect for Duluth residents and visitors of all ages looking to stock up on apples and start an
annual tradition.
