Dixon’s Apple Orchard announces its new woodland wedding venue!
The giant oaks circle round, leaving enough blue sky for the magic to pour in as the doors to forever swing open and the stunning bride steps foot into nature’s aisle.
Brides, grooms and their guests are surrounded by the whisper of fluttering leaves in the primitive, private and peaceful setting Jim and Becky Mullane created at Dixon’s Apple Orchard in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. With the help of their family, inspiration turned into a dream come true for couples wanting a romantic backdrop for their big day.
“It is very special. The sounds, the birds, it’s just a beautiful spot in every way,” said Becky Mullane, of Dixon’s Apple Orchard and Wedding Venue. Becky and her husband, Jim Mullane, spent the spring and summer of 2015 creating the outstanding setting for the couples who come to their 100 acre venue. “It’s more than we imagined,” said Jim.
Wooden benches, vintage doors and a handcrafted trellis welcome wedding guests who are seated amongst the birch trees and sloping hillside. Becky’s father built the unique, timber frame trellis, which is inspiring brides who want to decorate it with chandeliers and flowers. “The bride and groom can create their wedding. It becomes a storybook wedding…it becomes an adventure…it becomes an experience,” Becky added.
Guests arrive at the breeze-cooled site via wagon and brides can make their entrance in a vintage horse-drawn carriage. Once the couple says, “I do” they can enjoy pictures near the ponds, dine and dance the night away inside the large indoor reception venue and enjoy a star-lit campfire to cap off a dream-filled day.
Jim and Becky Mullane welcome interested couples to tour the woodland wedding venue and have select 2016 dates available.
